OSWEGO, NY – Human Concerns is now accepting applications for its annual distribution of Thanksgiving dinner baskets.
Households of two or more are eligible if they reside within the Oswego City School District.
If they are clients of Human Concerns, they need only to register.
If they are not clients, they will need to show proof of address in the city school district and produce identification for each family member.
They can register Monday through Friday from noon until 3 p.m. at the food pantry located at 85 E. Fourth St.
Applications will be accepted until Nov. 17 or until our allotment is gone.
Baskets will be picked up on Nov. 24 9 a.m. – noon.
“Thanks to the generosity of the Oswego community including the individuals, firefighters, policemen, churches, stores, local growers and volunteers, we hope to be able to provide nutritious dinner supplies to all those in need in Oswego,” said director Barbara Downs.
Based on the growing need for assistance in Oswego, we welcome both food and monetary donations at any time.
If any groups or individuals would like to sponsor one or more families for the holidays, they should contact Human Concerns at 342-7301.
