Held Feb. 5, the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s 60 Minute Challenge asked participants to run, jog, or walk on a treadmill for 30 minutes and ride an exercise bike for 30 minutes.

Individuals and teams participated at their choice of either Stability Fitness in Oswego, the Oswego YMCA or the Fulton YMCA.

“We were happy with the support we received for our first ever 60 Minute Challenge,” said Resource Development Director for the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Lois Luber. “The 60 Minute Challenge was a good example of our theme for this year’s campaign, which is promoting wellness and creating a healthier community. While it was a non-competitive event I would like to recognize Fulton Savings Bank for having he most participants, and Bernadette Costello of Pathfinder Bank; Patrick Waite and Diane Cooper-Currier, of OCO; and Stability Fitness member, Shane Miller, for their great job of raising dollars from friends, family and co-workers.”

“The heartbeat of the United Way is good people, doing great things to benefit others. Thanks to the efforts of those who took part in the 60 Minute Challenge we raised $983 for the United Way Community Care Fund,” added Luber.
