WNET Session To Feature Cake Decorating Seminar

PHOENIX, NY – Bob Bateman will present “Just for Fun,” a cake decorating seminar at the upcoming Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET) monthly breakfast meeting, Thursday, Dec. 4, 8 a.m. at the SUNY Oswego Education Center in the Oswego County Industrial Park, Phoenix (exit 14, state Route 481).

Bateman has been the owner of Cakes Galore and More in Oswego since 1990 and is a self taught cake baker and decorator who has worked in the industry for over 30 years.  Prior to owning his own business, he worked for Price Chopper as bakery manager for 13 years.

On average, Bateman creates 100 unique cakes, including wedding cakes, designed specifically with the client details in mind.  The bakery also offers baked goods including cookies and pastries.

Bob and his wife Barbara live in Oswego and have three children and one granddaughter.

WNET is part of a nationwide roundtable for women business owners, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Through networking, presentations and information sharing, WNET provides professional development and personal growth for women business owners.

The cost for each seminar is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. The WNET 2008-2009 (Sept. 08-Aug.09) membership cost is $25. Each seminar includes a light breakfast.

WNET is supported locally by Operation Oswego County, Oswego State Education Center, Alliance Bank, BeautiControl, Jody Frawley Advertising and Promotion, Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County, Oliver Paine Greenhouses and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
