OSWEGO, NY – St. Mary’s Church in Oswego recently finished up its third year of Vacation Bible School for young parishioners, friends, and community children.

More than 70 children raging in ages from 2 – 12, from as far away as Georgia, Zurich and the Philippines ventured on a “High Seas Expedition†learning about God’s word.
Four nights of music, crafts, games and fun was had by all.
A mission project to support the local food pantry also was incorporated in the week’s festivities.
St. Mary’s VBS is just one way the church is expanding opportunities for young children to become involved and be active participants in parish events and activities.
A children’s choir has been formed, and the children’s room during the 10:45 a.m. Sunday mass will begin again this fall.
Children will also be performing VBS songs at the upcoming St. Mary Feast Day on Aug. 14 at Breitbeck Park.
