Youth Can ‘Break Into Writing’ During February Break

The Central New York Arts Center announces a writing program for youth aged 10 – 14. The class, called ‘Break Into Writing,’ will run during the February school recess from Monday February 20 through Friday February 24th from 10am until noon each day. It will take place at the Fulton Public Library.

The class, led by local author Jim Farfaglia, is designed for young people who love to write and will feature activities and instruction on improving writing skills. Youth interested in all types of writing, including fiction, short story, non-fiction, poetry, song lyrics and news reporting are welcome. “Each day I will lead an activity that will encourage youth to expand their writing skills,” Farfaglia noted, “and we will also have time to write and share our writing with each other.”

Class size is limited and will be accepted on a first come- first serve basis. A fee for the class will be charged. Financial assistance to help with the fee is available. For more information about the class or to register contact Farfaglia at (315) 402-2297 or [email protected]
