OSWEGO – For more than 30 years, the Zonta Club of Oswego has recognized women whose hard work and dedication have made a difference in the lives of families in our community. They are seeking nominations for this years’ Amelia Earhart Woman of Achievement award.
Amelia Earhart was a member of Zonta International from 1928 until her death in 1937.
Her many achievements inspired the Zonta Club of Oswego to establish this award in her name as a role model for excellence and going above and beyond.
Earhart is quoted as saying “better do a good deed near at home than go far away to burn incense”. Indeed, this award honors a woman whose good deeds at home have positively impacted Oswego County.
Nomination forms can be found on the Zonta Club of Oswego’s Facebook page or by contacting Inga Back at [email protected] or 315-806-0785.
All nominations are due June 24.
