Event: Free Screening of The TAMI Show
Date and Time: Thursday, August 26, 7 PM
Location: Community Room, Oswego Public Library, 120 East 2nd Street

The Oswego Film Group (OFG) presents a free screening at 7 PM on Thursday, August 26 of the legendary concert film, The TAMI Show. A discussion will follow the screening.
A rock and roll revue, the TAMI (Teenage Awards Music International) Show featured an amazing, diverse lineup of a dozen acts, including the Rolling Stones, James Brown, the Supremes, and the Beach Boys. The film had a brief theatrical run but a complicated afterlife kept the movie out of circulation for years, its inaccessibility just adding to its legend. Here at last is a chance to see this October 1964 concert, “a remarkable snapshot of a wide-open moment in pop music, just as the Beatles’ arrival was changing the rules†(The New York Times, March 19, 2010).
The Oswego Film Group (formed in 2005) is dedicated to bringing quality independent film to Oswego and fostering a community of interested filmgoers. For more information on the film, please visit OFG’s blog:
