OSWEGO — SUNY Oswego ceramics students will open a free exhibition of their work Friday, Dec. 9, at Oswego State Downtown.
The exhibition titled “It’s Not What You Think!” will open with a free reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the downtown branch of the College Store, corner of West First and Bridge streets, and run through Jan. 28.
Roxanne Jackson, assistant professor of art, said the display will feature the “exhilarating and cutting edge” artwork of 13 of her intermediate and and advanced student ceramists.
The students are Page Andrews, Stephanie Arney, Mikhael Benson, Jeremy Blackburn, Nichol Dye, Ashley Geddes, Carrie Gregg, Caroline Hayward, Noelle Machin, Rachael Neubauer, Jessica Panicola, Stephanie Shannon and Lindsay Therrien.
Oswego State Downtown is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Besides student art, the retail outlet offers SUNY Oswego apparel, logo items and event tickets.
