The City of Fulton Republican committee is proud to introduce its slate of endorsed candidates for the upcoming November election. This year, city councilors and county legislators, which serve 2-year terms, are up for election. Also running for re-election for four-year terms are Terry Wilbur for Oswego County clerk and Kevin Gardner, Oswego County treasurer. Both are county-wide positions.

County legislative candidates running who represent portions of the City of Fulton include: Linda Lockwood, incumbent, District 11; Mike Solowy, incumbent, District 23; and newcomers to politics James Hanlon, running to represent District 25; and Travis Doty, running to represent District 22.

Common council candidates include: 1st ward councilor Mike Farnham who is running for re-election; 2nd ward councilor Rhonda Campolieta who was appointed in January and is seeking to be elected; 4th ward candidate Brandon Buske; 5th ward candidate Mat Overton; and 6th ward candidate Brandi Clonch.

Mike Farnham’s priorities include protecting the integrity of the neighborhoods, working with law enforcement to ensure residents’ safety, and supporting recreation.

Rhonda Campolieta aims to bring her long-time experience as a business owner to city government to help support residents, support the city’s long-term planning efforts, protect neighborhood integrity, and support recreational opportunities.

Brandi Clonch hopes to use her business experience to make the city more attractive for investors which will help lower taxes for residents.

Brandon Buske is excited to bring new ideas for a cohesive council to help leverage county and state resources for future development.

Mat Overton, former City of Fulton DPW worker, has seen firsthand some of the infrastructure needs our city has. He plans to use his experience in leadership roles such as chair of the Fulton Memorial Day Salute committee to promote teambuilding efforts to help move our city forward.

“I’m already seeing a lot of teamwork, collaboration and hardwork from each of these candidates. They are committed! I’m encouraged by their enthusiasm and believe, if elected, they will work together as a team on the common council. We need that in our city–people who will work together for the betterment of our community,” said Beth Nicholson, chair of the City of Fulton Republican Committee.

To support the candidates efforts, the public is invited to a breakfast featuring the Easter Bunny on April 12 from 9-11 am at the Polish Home, 153 W. 1st St. S., Fulton. Tickets available at the door for $12.
