This free event will start at noon on Saturday, October 28 at the Indian Point Landing, located past Mimi’s near the Fulton City limits on State Route 481.

Construction of the Indian Point Landing and Oswego River Pathfinder Trail was directed by Mayor Ronald Woodward and completed in 2010. The project transformed a small boat launch into the boardwalk, 2 gazebos, and pedestrian trail utilized by visitors today.

“The project required several permits to address environmental concerns, a lot of time, and a lot of City manpower. It is all worth it because Fulton residents can now enjoy it for years to come,” commented Mayor Woodward.

The Mayor “would like to see the trail continue south along the river” but he cautions that safety railings and other measures are necessary before a continuous trail can be opened to the public.

The one-mile Healthy Halloween Hike will be led by Zachary McQuaid, a “Walk to Run” Coach, Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor at the Fulton Y.

The walk will follow the trail from Indian Point Landing to the Davis-Standard parking lot, near the Oneida Street Bridge, and then return to Indian Point Landing.

Healthy snacks will be provided by OCO’s Impact Program.

Treasure seekers will also be able to find Fulton NY Rocks along the trail.

The public is invited to walk at their own pace, and to wear costumes if they like. missing or outdated ad config

  1. Hope you have a huge turn out. Children love fun things. Talk about exercise….. It would be wonderful for our children to have the pool open. Let’s see a picture of the mayor next to pool and swing sets with No swings. Someone needs to inform the parks department about this pool. Get patti Ritchie to come up with some money
They spent a fortune on canoe launch. That is the biggest joke ive ever seen

  2. Thank you City of Fulton, Friends of Fulton Parks, and Fulton Rocks for starting this great Family tradition.

  3. Continue your positive influence in the community! Imagine if everyone reading this article went walking for 30 minutes today, triggering endorphins (When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain, and trigger positive feelings).

  4. Cannot wait to attend today… may this go very well for the community. Thank you for all you are doing to make this city healthier!
