Police Arrest Two For Tampering With Food

FULTON, NY – Fulton police concluded their investigation into a complaint of food tampering at a local restaurant, making two arrests.

Philip F. Dunbar, 30, and Jeremy M. Hankey, 25, both of Fulton, were charged with single counts of third-degree criminal tampering.

On Nov. 6, Fulton Police responded to McDonalds Restaurant in Fulton for report of possible food tampering. The investigation revealed that Dunbar and Hankey, employees at McDonalds, allegedly conspired to and did spit in a sandwich, which was then served to an Oswego City Police officer who placed the order in the drive-thru.

The officer, whose name is being withheld, did not become ill as a result of the incident.

Dunbar was held pending arraignment, while Hankey was released on an appearance ticket. Both are due back in Fulton City Court Dec. 4.
