Sun rises on a warm weekend

Gray-blue clouds touched with sunrise pink hover over Treasure Island and the icy surface of the Oswego River in Phoenix on Saturday (Jan. 11).

An early January thaw has arrived over most of CNY. Temperatures soared near 50 degrees today.

It will still be rather warm, by January standards, on Sunday as temps top out in the 40s.

The mild weather should be with us through the first part of next week before things settle back to more seasonable conditions.
