City of Fulton news:

  • The Fulton Block Builder (FBB) program was recently honored to be selected as an “Economic Champion” by CenterState CEO. Full story here.
  • Members of the Fulton Police Department are wearing camouflage pants and custom tee shirts this November in honor of Veterans and Military Family Appreciation Month, as announced by Fulton Police Chief Michael Curtis. Full story here.
  • The Fulton Common Council met Tuesday, November 16, when it discussed and voted on tax exemptions for seniors and persons with disabilities. Full story here.
  • Now, in addition to the city of Fulton police and fire departments, Fulton city government has now become active on Neighbors, a free Ring app used by millions of residents in communities across the U.S. to connect and share valuable safety information, whether or not they own a Ring device, as announced by Fulton Mayor Deana Michaels.   • The Oswego Public Library is no longer charging late fines on more than 60,000 items in their collection. Full story here.
  • The Oswego Common Council meeting was held Monday, November 14. The meeting was brief with all 16 items on the agenda approved. Full story here.
  • After several weeks of anticipation and worry, Oswego residents attending Tuesday’s Oswego City School District Board of Education meeting broke into a round of applause; the board voting against a measure that would have ultimately closed and repurposed Frederick Leighton Elementary School in the city of Oswego.   • Mayor Billy Barlow announced Friday, November 18, the city of Oswego has once again partnered with Victory Transformation to provide a warming shelter for the homeless and those seeking shelter during the cold winter months. Full story here.
