MY favorite were those Mummers! WOW, what fabulous costumes, and fun performers who interacted with the parade viewers!!!
This was a great parade except I had hoped more of the advertisers woulda done a bit more with their parade entry than just paste a sign on their car or truck.
WHEN did we stop making the parade more than a venue for ads than an acknowledgement of our Independence?
Just two cents. I know when I did floats for both the Library and the Oswego Players, we took a bit more time with it than what was in the ‘show’ yesterday. Maybe the fire departments could be first/police, too, and then the floats, and then ads at the end for those too hot to stay?
Great job as always Steve. Thanks. Those of us in the parade never get to see the parade unless people like you write stories like this.
