Bill Crist
PHILADELPHIA, PA. — The Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools announces the appointment of the following seven new commissioners.
Included on the list is Oswego’s Bill Crist.
William Crist, Syracuse, NY – Crist is the superintendent of schools in the Diocese of Syracuse in Syracuse. He previously served as interim Superintendent of the Massena Central School District in Massena and superintendent of the Oswego City School District in Oswego.

Gene Freeman, Ed.D., Pittsburgh, Pa. – Freeman serves as superintendent of the Fox Chapel Area School District in Pittsburgh., Pa. He is the former superintendent of Manheim Township School District in Lancaster, Pa.
Robin Heslip, Ed.D., Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Heslip is the superintendent of the American Community Schools in Abu Dhabi. She began her teaching career in Wisconsin and has worked in schools on six continents, including the American International School of Zagreb, Rabat American School, and the American School of Kinshasa.
James Kraft, Ed.D., Leesport, Pa. – Kraft is the administrative director for The Berks Career and Technology Center in Leesport, Pa., where he previously served as principal.
Sr. Maureen McDermott, Ph.D., Philadelphia, Pa. – McDermott serves as superintendent of secondary schools for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Prior to her position as superintendent, she was principal of Bishop Shanahan High School in Downington, Pa.
Janasee Sinclair, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – Sinclair is principal at St. Croix Central High School in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and is actively involved with the National Principals Leadership Institute.
William Stevens, Wilmington, Del. – Stevens is headmaster at Wilmington Christian School in Wilmington, Del. He previously served as educational consultant for the Association of Christian Schools International.
