OSWEGO, NY – The YMCA’s free fun day attracted dozens of youngsters recently.
They offered a variety of activities and games for youngsters up to about middle school age.
The focus was on ‘healthy habits,’ according to Dawn Metott, youth activities coordinator for the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
It was part of a national program that the YMCA participates in, she explained.
The Youth Bureau did arts and crafts.
Also providing health and safety information at their booths were the Oswego Fire Department, Oswego County Traffic and Safety Board, Youth Soccer, the US Army, OCO and several other agencies.
There was some free fruit from C’s Farms and other food to buy for a dollar.
