OPD Charges Fort Drum Man With Attempted Rape

OSWEGO, NY – On Sunday, May 5, at approximately 4:09 a.m. the city of Oswego Police Department investigated a reported sexual assault.

During investigation, officers interviewed a 19-year-old female, from SUNY Oswego, who stated that she was sexually assaulted by a man that she had met that evening.

Police said today (May 31) that a subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Frank J. Braatsch, 22, of Building 685 Lewis Avenue apartment 308 Fort Drum, on the charges of Attempted Rape in the first Degree and Forcible Touching in violation of the New York State Penal Law 130.35-1 and 130.52-1.

Braatsch was arraigned in the Oswego City Court by the Honorable Judge James Metcalf.

He was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail/10,000 bond. missing or outdated ad config
