OSWEGO, NY – Patrick J. Carroll entered into eternal rest on Saturday September 9, 2017, to be with his wife, Joan M. Carroll, who passed away on March 16, 2001.

Patrick was born in Oswego on September 11, 1935, to the late John and Catherine (Sweeney) Carroll.
He was a State Trooper for 20y years and was a former president of the PBA.
Surviving are his two sons, Michael (Diana) Carroll of Clearwater, Florida and Patrick (Barbara) Carroll of Oswego; two daughters, Sheryl (Evan) Moulton of Lake George and Mary (William) Volkomer of Oswego; three sisters, Mary Miller of Oswego, Marguerite Aluzzo of Liverpool and Helene Spaulding of Oswego; and several grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Carroll.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral services or calling hours.
Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. He was a great friend of all police officers and a natural leader. Knew him well from my days with the Fulton PD and then as my boss when we were at the Nine Mile Point nuclear stations with the security dept. A great guy.
RIP Pat what a great guy he was. I worked with him on different cases and follow up . I was with Fulton PD . Always had a smile and great personality and always made you smile.
