OSWEGO, NY – Philip H. Nelson Jr., 66, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Thursday January 28, 2016, at the Seneca Hill Manor.

Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Philip H. and Margaret (Maher) Nelson Sr. and had attended Oswego schools.

Mr. Nelson was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years , the former Vicki Conroy; two daughters, Melissa (Stu) Fenske and Vanessa (Dan) Clark both of Oswego; a brother, Robert (Paula) Nelson of Texas; four sisters, Marjorie (Jack) Zeller of Oswego, Phyllis Glenn of Oswego, Mary (John) Turner of Oswego and Christine (Jerry) Samons of Texas.

He was predeceased by his son, Philip A. Nelson; and his brother, Thomas Nelson.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
