FULTON, NY – Artemis Parrish, 72, died on Thursday April 16, 2015, at home following an extended illness.
She was a daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Konstantinopoulos of Akron, Ohio.
Artie moved to Fulton in 1971 where she and Gary Parrish raised their children, Mark, Michael and Julie.
Artie was a lover of flowers and planted beautiful gardens in her small yard, which attracted birds of all kinds, as well as, the envy of her family and friends.
Particular about her lovely little home, she loved to clean, cook, garden and live a simple, dignified life.
In earlier years, Artie enjoyed horseback riding and hiking in nature.
She loved going to Fair Haven beach with a good book.
She was also very involved in the lives of her children and attended many sporting and community events.
Artie’s greatest love was for her children and her grandchildren.
A wonderful, compassionate friend, Artie enjoyed lunch with the ladies and being a good, loyal friend to a diverse group of close friends.
She also enjoyed visiting her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in Akron.
Artie is survived by her children: Mark and Nicole Parrish of Cicero, NY, Michael and Sue Anne Parrish of Haddonfield, NJ, Julie and Scot Hamilton of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren: Ryan, Jack and Lucie; and her children’s father, Gary Parrish.
In addition to her parents, Artie was predeceased by a sister, Irene Buckey.
Calling hours will be April, 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, where a memorial service will follow at 6 p.m.
The family would like to acknowledge the care provided by dear friends Maree Kinney and Monica MacKenzie, whom Artie adored.

So sorry to hear this. Artie was a wonderful person. I 1st met her when I worked at Black Clawson, from her husband Gary. For many years, she lived down the road from me. She will be greatly missed. To her family, I am thinking of you.
So sorry to hear this sad news. Artie truly was a wonderful, caring friend to so many. We would get together with the “girls” and have a great time. She will surely be missed. Thoughts go out to her children and grandchildren at this devastating time.
I went to school with Artie in Akron, Ohio for six years. She was always a ‘best friend.’ After graduation, I lost contact with her until our 50th high school reunion rolled around. I could not attend but was sent pictures of Artie. We started corresponding via email off and on since then. She shared some of her woes, but she told me once: Stay Strong and Never Give Up! She was a trooper. I knew I was truly blessed to have known Artemis Konstantinopoulos Parrish. I know God has folded His arms around her soul. I will miss you, Artie, but I will always remember you.
I was so sorry to hear about Artie. I didn’t get to know her well, But I remember her sweet face and friendly smile.
