FULTON, NY – Dorothy Williams, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in 1925 to the late Roland and Ellen Wheeler, she was a graduate of Hannibal High School.
She had resided in Sterling and Fulton and enjoyed spending her winters in Florida and later in Myrtle Beach with many relatives and friends.
Dorothy was a retiree of the Hannibal Central School District and later served as the District Tax Collector.
She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton and Court Pere LeMoyne Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter, Mary E. Leotta; brother, Donald Wheeler; and by William H. Williams.
Surviving are her daughters, Marsha (Carl) Guth of Webster and Marlena (Thomas) LaClair of Pulaski; son-in-law, Rosario Leotta of Fulton; grandchildren, William (Melanie) LaClair of Canandaigua, Rebecca (Jon) Wilcox of Jamesville and Mary Beth (Mike) Mancini of Arlington, Va.; great-grandchildren, Emily and Molly Wilcox; nephews, Dale and Michael Wheeler; dear friend, Rose Cardinali; the Leotta family; plus many other nieces and nephews, and her friends and staff at St. Francis Commons.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 18, at Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, at Holy Trinity Parish, corner of Rochester and South Third streets, Fulton.
Burial is at Fairdale Rural Cemetery in Hannibal.
The family would also like to thank the staff and caregivers at Oswego Hospital for their compassionate care during her last days.
Dorothy requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-9959.
