  1. I was saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. We had become friends based upon our love of both good music and great jokes. Our conversations would often start with a joke and then go from there. My condolonces go out to his family. He will surely be missed by all.

  2. I am so sorry to hear this news. I was only able to go see Ed at Seneca once. When he was in Hannibal, I would play and sing every month for an hour and then he and I would talk music. He drew out notes and taught me how to read key signatures. He always made me laugh because I played by ear and he wanted me to read music. He strongly suggested I learn many songs, one that made us both laugh was “You’re Driving Me Crazy!” I told him I learned it because he WAS driving me crazy! He would always sit at the end of the hall so I could see him while I played, never came in the room I was in. So we would make faces at each other throughout the hour I played. He would always say, “Why do you play that CRAP!” then he would give me a list of new songs to play. He was a very unique individual and I will really miss him. Lighting a candle for all the family..
