FULTON, NY – Edward O. Reich, 89, of Fulton died Thursday April 5, 2012, at The Manor at Seneca Hill in Volney.
Born in Manhattan, he was a 60-year resident of Fulton.
Edward retired from Sealright Corporation in Fulton after many years as an accountant.
He was a Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Langley.
He was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan.
Edward loved music and movies.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris M. Reich, who died Dec. 9, 2011.
He will be lovingly missed by his children, Laurence Reich of Fulton, Lise (Bud) Dodds of Minetto, Susan Reich and Nancy Reich both of Fulton; two grandchildren, Lacey Reich and Jack Dodds.
Services are private.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.

I was saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. We had become friends based upon our love of both good music and great jokes. Our conversations would often start with a joke and then go from there. My condolonces go out to his family. He will surely be missed by all.
I am so sorry to hear this news. I was only able to go see Ed at Seneca once. When he was in Hannibal, I would play and sing every month for an hour and then he and I would talk music. He drew out notes and taught me how to read key signatures. He always made me laugh because I played by ear and he wanted me to read music. He strongly suggested I learn many songs, one that made us both laugh was “You’re Driving Me Crazy!” I told him I learned it because he WAS driving me crazy! He would always sit at the end of the hall so I could see him while I played, never came in the room I was in. So we would make faces at each other throughout the hour I played. He would always say, “Why do you play that CRAP!” then he would give me a list of new songs to play. He was a very unique individual and I will really miss him. Lighting a candle for all the family..
