Elmer A. Cardinali, 83

FULTON, NY – Elmer A. Cardinali, 83, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday August 19, 2015, at Seneca Hill Manor in Oswego.

A native of Fulton, he was a son of the late, Francisco and Ernesta Arduini Cardinali.

Elmer had worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Syracuse for 40 years.

He was an active member of the Fulton Alliance Church and active in the Fulton community.

He was also a former member of the Gauchos Drum and Bugle Corps.

Elmer served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Constance Gardner Cardinali, who passed away in 2001; and by brothers, Gildo “Gil” Cardinali and Henry Cardinali.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne Cardinali of Oswego; a daughter, Colleen Stewart of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; two grandchildren, Garret and Katie Stewart both of Rochester; step-children, Andrew MacDowell of Indiana, Peggy Roach of Kentucky and Matthew MacDowell of Rochester; five step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 24, at the Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48, Fulton.

Burial with military honors will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton.

There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton Alliance Church Van Fund.

  1. I was saddened when I heard that Elmer had passed . He was a neighbor of mine when I was growing up . Thoughts and prayers go to the family
