HANNIBAL, NY – Florence Mary Wells, 71 of Fulton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 28, 2012.
Born in Oswego on August 20, 1940, she was a lifelong resident of Oswego County.
She was a graduate of Hannibal High School, class of 1958.
Flo was a devout member of Granby Center United Methodist Church and devoted mother and spouse.
She had a passion for flowers, cooking and most of all, her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Gioia; and a brother, Dominic Gioia.
A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger I. Wells; sons, Roger M. (Denise), Joel F. and Jody M. (Kelly) Wells; daughter, Valarie F. (John) Turner; sister, Pauline (William) Sitzer; brothers, Joseph, Larry and Harry (Cheryl) Gioia; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Granby Center United Methodist Church, 420 County Route 3, Fulton.
Spring burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery in Fulton.
The family requests memorial contributions made to Granby Center United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
