Harrison E. “Sonny†Shepard, Jr., 78, of Granby, passed away Friday at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Ballston Spa, he was a long time resident of Florida prior to moving to the Fulton area in 2000. Sonny retired from General Motors in Albany, GA. He was predeceased by his parents, Harrison and Doris Perkins Shepard, his wife, Florence Shepard, his son, Charles Smith and his sisters, Shirley Nalle and Gladys Stauffer. Everyone who came in contact with Sonny loved him.
Surviving: children, Kenny Shepard, James Shepard, James Smith, Cathy Butler, Harold Smith, Harrison Shepard III and Joanna Hussong; sister, Charlotte Murray; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
A calling hour will be 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday with a 4 p.m. service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, GA.
