FULTON, NY – Joyce Buscemi, 68, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday February 12, 2017.

Born in Brooklyn, she lived most of her life on Long Island before moving to Fulton in 1973.

She retired from Huhtamaki in 2014 after 30 years.

Joyce attended Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton.

She was predeceased by her father, John Adams, who died in 1999; mother, Annabelle Adams, who died in 2011; and her sister, Hope Flynn, who died in 2003.

Surviving are a son, Steven C. (Sheena) Buscemi of Fulton; her fiancée, Joseph McCarey of Fulton; his daughter and two sons, Kathleen (David) Pumphrey, Joseph F. McCarey and Donald Souza; three grandchildren, Lucas (Melany) Buscemi, Allen (Samantha) Buscemi and Kaylin (David) Miller all of Fulton; five great-grandchildren, Zackery Roy Buscemi, Jonathan Scott Buscemi, Kyliegh Marie Miller, Chase Anthony Miller and Daniel Ryan Miller.

Calling hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with a funeral service to immediately follow.

Burial will be private.

  5. Aunt Joyce you will always be remembered by your picture taking skills and a laugh that filled a room with joy and happiness. I was lucky to be a part of your family by marriage but blessed that the relationship didn’t end when the marriage did. Our love and prayers go out to Joe and all the family.
