HANNIBAL, NY – Judith E. Shortsleeve, 79 of Hannibal died Monday March 12, 2012, at Morning Star Nursing Home in Oswego.
Born in Syracuse to the late Leslie and Illah Craner she was a 12-year resident of the Hannibal – Oswego area.
She had attended the Church of the Nazarene in Fulton.
Judy loved to shop.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine M. Shortsleeve, who died in 1971; and by a son, Leslie E. Shortsleeve, who died February 5, 1998.
Surviving: her husband of 60 years, Earl F. “Shorty” Shortsleeve of Hannibal; daughters, Susie M. Shortsleeve of Fulton, Cynthia L. Phelps of Oswego, Patsy L. Bayes of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary J. Shortsleeve of Denver, Colorado, Christine L. Rupert of Hannibal and Rebecca J. Shortsleeve of Hannibal; sons, Frederick L. Shortsleeve of Hartford, Conn. and Michael D. Shortsleeve of Oswego; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Delaney of Fulton, Nancy Karapin of Camillus and Jean Bianchi of Connecticut.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal.
Burial will be at Upson Corners Cemetery, Palermo.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
