Judy L. Avery, 56

FULTON, NY – Judy L. (Gorman) Avery, 56, of Oswego, formerly of Fulton, joined her new life Saturday May 3, 2014, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.

She was born in Oswego, a daughter to the late Robert D. Avery and Elinor Avery McCann.

Judy graduated from Hannibal High School in 1976.

She was formerly employed for more than 15 years as a dispatcher for Fulton Taxi, retiring in 2013 due to health reasons.

She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family.

In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Miller, who died in 1995.

Judy is survived by two daughters, Tiffany (Ritch) Batchelor of Oswego and Shannon (Jordan Roth) Gorman of Palermo; a son, Kevin Gorman II of Hannibal; a sister, Nancy Greenwood of Fulton; a brother, Richard (Doretta) Avery of Liverpool; three grandchildren, Peyton, Alasia and Alizaya; companion, Robert Haynes; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

    You have left your mark here on this earth with your children. You were a wonderful person and a person I like to call my friend. You will be deeply missed and we want you to know that you were Loved very much.

  2. Judy I have known you for a long time every since your girls were small when they both attended my daughters 3rd birthday. I did not know of your passing and my heart goes out to your family. May God Bless your spirit and keep your family safe. RIP my friend you will be missed.
