Leonard E. Ostness, 73, of Fulton, died May 11, 2010.

Leonard worked for Black Clawson in Illinois and transferred to their Fulton plant 47 years ago. After working at Black Clawson, Leonard worked for Zink Manufacturing in Fulton for two years. Leonard owned and operated LO Specialties for 20 years, retiring in 2008.

Leonard was a member of the Fulton Elks B.P.O.E. #830 where he served twice as the Exalted Ruler. He later acted as their Secretary and Treasurer. Leonard was a member of the Polish Home in Fulton. He was an Air Force Veteran. Leonard was an avid golfer and Chicago Cubs Fan.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy J. Ostness; a daughter, Lisa (Worden) Somers of Sterling; two sons, Lawrence J. (Constance) Ostness of Fulton and Lee A. (Ginny) Ostness of Baldwinsville; sister, Linda Pelc of Wheeling, IL; brother, Lawrence K. Ostness of Streamwood, IL; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Heath, Krystal, Brandi, E.J., Mikayla and Jacob; one great-granddaughter, Olivia.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Contributions in memory of Leonard may be made to the Golisano Children’s Hospital, University Hospital, 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210.
