Madeline T. Manwaring, 92

Madeline T. Manwaring, 92, of Fulton died Monday at home surrounded by family.

She was a life resident of Fulton. Madeline was a homemaker for several years before working for the County of Oswego as a Secretary. She was a lifelong communicant of The Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Madeline was a member of the Holy Family Golden Age Group and the Fulton Women’s Club. She also volunteered at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital for several years.

Madeline was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Manwaring, who died in 1969 and by a sister, Alice Murphy, who died in 1996.

She is survived by a son, Dr. James Manwaring of Washington, D.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester & South Third Street, Fulton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. There are no calling hours. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.

  1. Dear Jim and the Extended Manwaring Family,
    Your mother, Madeline, was a good friend to me many years ago when I worked at the Victoria Paper Mill. I will always treasure that special friendship. I always tried to contact her when I was in Fulton. Know that she is in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
