Marjorie D. Cavone, 92

FULTON, NY – Marjorie Davey Cavone, 92, of Fulton, passed away on Monday February 20, 2017, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Gouverneaur, NY, a daughter to the late Chester and Ellen McTurk Davey.

After 35 years of service she retired from Fulton City School District as a secretary.

She worked in the main office at Fulton High School and G. Ray Bodley High School where she was well-known by both the students and faculty.

Marjorie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Her family was the joy of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Victor; daughter, Suzanne Menter of Fulton; son, Mark (Cynthia) Cavone of Monroe, Conn.; five grandchildren, Zachary (Maria) Menter, Gretchen Menter, Justin, Michael and Madison Cavone; two great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Kevin Menter; four sisters; one brother-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 24, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, at State Street United Methodist Church, 357 State St., Fulton.

A spring burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton.

  1. So sorry to hear about your mom, Sue. Been a lot of years since we’ve seen each other, but would have known your mother. She hasn’t changed since I used to hang out in the office waiting for my mother. Prayers are being sent your way!!

  4. So sorry to hear the news we just found out. Our sympathy goes out to Vic,Sue,and Mark. She will be truly missed.It was a joy seeing her in the neighborhood when we walked by.
