FULTON, NY – Nellie G. Mathews, 93, a lifetime resident of Hannibal, passed away Sunday September 10, 2017, at the Manor at Seneca Hill.
After graduating from SUNY Oswego, she worked as an elementary school teacher for the Baldwinsville School District for 30 years.
In her free time, Nellie enjoyed gardening, camping, and other outdoor activities.
She was predeceased by her husband, V. Brien, in 2015; and her siblings, John, Fred and Olga.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Mary Ellen) Garbus of Fulton; sister, Lucy Frank of Phoenix; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September, 20 at 2 p.m. in Mount Adnah Cemetery, 706 E. Broadway, Fulton.

When Nellie and Brien left us, they left a big void in so many people’s lives. They were special friends since we first met in the late 1970’s. I am sure they are together, side by side, with our Lord.
