Pearl R. Taylor, 82

HANNIBAL, NY – Pearl R. Taylor, 82, of Martville, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse following a brief illness.

A native of Oswego, she was a daughter of the late George and Esther Bailey Rice.

Pearl enjoyed going to casinos and gambling.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Pearl had been predeceased by her husband, Joseph Taylor, in 1984; and by siblings, Jenny Besaw, Donald Rice and Ellen Rodriquez.

Surviving are her longtime companion, Lewis Groesbeck of Martville; children, William Taylor (Alicia) of Hannibal, Roxanne Loveland of Sterling, Donald Taylor (Bev) of Hannibal, Carl Taylor of Hannibal, Doris Abbott (Tom) of Hannibal, Ellen Lawton (Bill) of Oswego and Joseph Taylor III (Karen) of Hannibal; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, George Rice and Mary Gummer of Oswego, Clarence Rice of Livingston, Texas and Ruth Owen of Oswego; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, September 7, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., in Hannibal with services to follow at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery in Hannibal.
