Rosalie Battles, 63

FULTON, NY – Rosalie Battles, 63 of Fulton, passed away peacefully at home Saturday June 23, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.

She was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School and Rochester Institute of Technology.

Rosalie was an active volunteer, devoting her time to numerous organizations within Fulton City Schools, as well as Fulton Figure Skating Club and the YMCA.

Above all, she was a loving and dedicated mother and wife.

She retired from Oswego State University.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary and Rosario Arcidiacono.

Rosalie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary F. Battles; son, Jeffrey Battles; daughter, Sarah (Seth) Mensah; and many beloved cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of South Third and Rochester streets, Fulton.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

  1. Attended school with Rose until I went to Catholic High and knew Gary as well . No finer people ever came out of the city of Fulton . I’am sorry Gary and children , Rose was a very beautiful woman and I’am sure a great mom and wife .
