Ward H. Greenwood, 72, of Volney, passed away Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hannibal, Ward was a life resident of the Fulton – Oswego areas. He retired in 2002 from Black Clawson, Fulton. He had also worked many years with Local 747, Oswego. Ward was an Air Force veteran and life member of Fulton V.F.W. Post 569. A machine fabricator by trade, Ward enjoyed working with metal within his home shop. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his sister, Faye Gehring.
Ward is survived by his wife of 35 years, the former Paula Cranston; five daughters, Carla Madden of Fulton, Wendy (Richard) Wilson of FL, Tina Palmitesso of Fulton, Shelley (Peter) Alonso of FL and Holly Beth (Larry) Eichel of FL; a brother, Thomas Greenwood of FL; grandchildren, Ashley, Joshua, Nicole, Larry, Alexander, Kara, Steven and David; great-grandson, Dillon; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be at Oswego Town Rural Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
