
FULTON – Betty Ann Roy, 77, of Scriba, passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2025.
Born in Fulton, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Shirley (Sweet) Whitney.
Betty loved her family and was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was selfless and loyal and always put her family first. Spending time with her family, especially watching her kids and grandkids play sports, brought her great pride and joy. Betty enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching, puzzles, antiquing, and needlepoint. She was also a huge animal lover, and her favorite flowers were pansies.
Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years Louis Roy, and children Jeffrey (Charissa) Roy, Robert (Valerie) Roy, Brandon (Karyn) Roy, and Andrea Roy. She is also survived by her sister Martha Bonnell, brother Richard Whitney, sister-in-law Marjorie Whitney, and nine beloved grandchildren Caleb Roy, Donovan Roy, Abigail Roy, Madeline Roy, Alexis Merritt, Teagan Roy, Cayden Roy, Kolton Roy, and Ryden Roy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Lyle Whitney.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 3-6 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street. Oswego.
