Gail A. Proud

OSWEGO, NY – Gail A. Proud, 68 and a resident of 178 Conway Terrace in Oswego passed away peacefully Friday morning Jan. 6, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.

Gail was predeceased by her husband Asa J. “Ace” Proud.

Gail was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Kiernan and Anne Crowley.

She is survived by two sons, Michael J. (Becki) Proud of Brighton, Michigan and Mark K.  (Alyssa) Proud of Oswego; a brother, Charles (Mary) Crowley of Syracuse; and six grandchildren, Chelsea, Evan, Kiernan, Erin, Ethan and Braedan Proud who she loved and adored.

Gail held a special place in her heart for her cousin, Pamela (Michael) LaSala; and her brothers-in-law, Jack (Allie) Proud and Larry (Francie) Proud.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held Thursday 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

  1. I only knew gail briefly when she lived next to Mike Crahan, and she was a vsweet teenager, but her husband, “Ace”, was aces with me. You couldn’t find a better guy.
