Mary T. Daly, 86

OSWEGO, NY – Mary T. Daly, 86, a former resident of 196 W. Sixth St., Oswego, passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Sunrise Nursing Home.

Mrs. Daly was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Ditota) Losurdo.

She was a graduate of Oswego High School and was a life resident.

She was the wife of the late John H. Daly, who died in 1966.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary, for 30 years, at SUNY-Oswego.

Mrs. Daly was a volunteer at Oswego Hospital and was a member of the Oswego Hospital Women’s Auxiliary.

She was also a member of the Golden Age Group at Holy Family Church in Fulton.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Ronald) Reeves of Oswego; a granddaughter, Rebecca Reeves of Oswego; two  great-grandchildren, Terry and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Nancy Plata and Elizabeth Brown; and a brother, Joseph Losurdo.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.

  1. ANNE, I’M SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR MOMS PASSING. I REMEMEBER HER FROM MY CHILDHOOD AND SHE SEEMED TO BE A VERY CARING AND LOVING MOTHER. IT IS ALWAYS SO HARD TO LOOSE A PARENT. AGAIN MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES. ANNE
