Phyllis J. Dietsch Kazarian, 76, a resident of Paloma St., Oswego, passed away, August 14, 2010 at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Oakford, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Linus and Maxine (Carlock) Dietsch.

She was a Teacher for 6 years in Ohio and Illinois before moving to Oswego. She retired from Riley Elementary School in 1994 after 26 years there.

Phyllis was a Hospital Volunteer with Krafty Ladies, she was a faculty wife President at SUNY Oswego and was a Commissioner of Deacons at Faith United Church.

She enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle with her friends.

She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Ed Kazarian, three daughters, Norma (Joe) Lewis; Nanette (Sam) VanHorn; Natalie (James) Crisafulli, all of Oswego; her grandchildren, Kelly Lewis, Dale VanHorn, Natasha Kazarian, Cassandra Crisafulli, Bradley VanHorn, Michael Crisafulli and Riley Crisafulli; nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 10am. Tuesday at the Faith United Church, Oswego. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
