Richard Manwaring, 76

OSWEGO, NY – Richard Manwaring, 76, of Oswego, died Sunday September 4, 2016, at Oswego Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Stephen and Hazel Manwaring.

He worked for the Labor Local 214.

He was a pitcher for fast-pitch softball for many years; he also coached women’s softball and was an umpire for Little League.

He was a wonderful singer and guitar player.

He enjoyed golfing and was an avid outdoorsman.

He was a great joke teller but most of all he was a very giving person.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Reitz) Manwaring; and his siblings, Wilma, Jake, Stephen and Paul.

Surviving are his children, Richard Jr., Tina (Steve) Bourgeois, Roxanne “Rocky” Manwaring, Donna (Kenny) Dutcher, Scott Manwaring and John (Chantelle) Manwaring; a brother, Lane Manwaring; grandchildren, Thomas and Alyssa, Tara, Samantha, Matt, Chris, Erin, Patience, Dylan and London; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
