PHOENIX, NY – Ruth C. Starusnak, 76, former Phoenix resident, passed away at The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing, Chittenango, Madison County, on Tuesday March 29, 2016.

She had been a resident since September of 2014.
She was born on December 2, 1939, to her late parents, Gladys (John) Jacobs and Ezra Jacobs in Warren, Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the Seneca Indian Nation, Heron Clan.
Ruth loved her cats; she played organized softball and talked fondly of her days as a hairdresser.
She was a machine operator for General Motors, Syracuse, NY.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Starusnak, in 1990.
Surviving are her son, and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Wendi Starusnak of Phoenix; six grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Ronnie, Charlotte, Luke and Laurie; four step-grandchildren, David, Jade, Derrick and Jenna; eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will on Wednesday April 6, at 10:30 a.m. in Assumption Cemetery, 2401 Court St., Syracuse.
The Rev. Diane Kimpland will officiate the graveside service.
Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Homes, Inc., Phoenix, has care of arrangements.
