OSWEGO, NY – Theresa E. Lalande-Marsh, 87, a resident of Minetto, died Friday August 14, 2015.
Born in Munich, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Ursula (Karrer) Mueller.
Theresa came to the country in 1947 as a war bride and married John “Duke” Lalande who predeceased her in 1975.
She was also predeceased by her second husband, David Marsh, in 2014.
She enjoyed traveling, geography history and reading.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Her work experience included working as a secretary for Catalytic Construction in Philadelphia, Pa., and also as a secretary for SUNY Oswego in the Admissions Office and the International Center from 1963 until her retirement in 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia (Gary) Fields; a son, John (Jeanne) Lalande; four step-daughters, Marilyn (Ron) Smith, Carol (Robert) Nitz, Linda (Leonard) Terzulli and Christine (Dan) Finnegan; two step-sons, David (Darlene) Marsh and Geoffrey (Chris) Marsh; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; her sister in spirit, Irmi Koelel of Munich, Germany.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
