Floyd ‘Mike’ Amos

FULTON, NY – Floyd “Mike” Amos, 52; of Fulton died Monday January 30, 2012, at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Rhode Island to the late Julius and Gladys (Phellps) Amos.

He has been a lifetime resident of Fulton.

Mr. Amos worked with the Oswego Painters’ Union Local #38.  He was a member of the Fulton Elks’ Lodge.

Mr. Amos was previously involved with golf leagues at the Palermo Golf Course.

He still remained an avid golfer.

Mr. Amos is survived by his daughters: Loralie Roberts of Minnesota and Malorie LaBarge Amos of Fulton; siblings, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Fulton Elks’ Lodge from 2 to 6 p.m.

Burial will be held privately.

  1. An amazing spark of light and life is what you are. You will be sadly missed by all. So, sorry to family and friends to see that this wonderful, courage’s man has lost this battle. Although there are many fond memories for all!!!!!!!!!

  3. Mike was always a wonderful friend to me and a great, kind hearted person to be around. He always knew how to put a smile on your face…he will be greatly missed! My deepest sympathies go out to all of his friends and family that I know loved him and will miss him very much.
