Frances ‘Fran’ Perth, 93

FULTON, NY – Frances “Fran” Perth, 93, of Mexico passed away peacefully Thursday January 21, 2016, at Seneca Hill Manor, Volney, NY.

She was born in Syracuse, NY, to the late Orra and Sadie (Shepard) Bailey.

Mrs. Perth had been a resident of Mexico for most of her life.

She worked for Armstrong Co., Fulton, and retired after 40 years of service.

She and her husband then opened Red Wind Mill Antiques, Vermillion, NY, and continued to successfully own and operate the business for several years.

Mrs. Perth’s passion was anything old and vintage.

She loved to share her knowledge of the past and in her later years she became best known for her knowledge of postcards and the history of her local surroundings.

Mrs. Perth also enjoyed contributing to select causes that would directly help people in need.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Walter Perth, in 1989; and seven siblings: Ward, Donald, Glen, Earl, Luava, Margaret and Betty.

Mrs. Perth is survived by her brother-in-law, William Salmonsen of Clay, NY; nephew, James (Jackie) Salmonsen of Volney; nieces, Lisa Mikos of Canadaigua, NY, and Elaine DeLong of Palermo, NY; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be conducted Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
