Grace Galletta, 85

OSWEGO, NY – Grace Galletta, 85, of Oswego, died Tuesday March 20, 2012, unexpectedly.

Mrs. Galletta was born in Fulton the daughter of the late Thomas and Angelina (Cincotta) Mirabito.

Mrs. Galletta was a legal secretary for attorney Hosmer Culkin of Oswego.

Mrs. Galletta was a past president of St. Joseph’s Golden Age Group, and she enjoyed the Saturday night card club with her close friends at the Harbour House.

Mrs. Galletta was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Galletta, in 1984; her brother, Angelo Mirabito; and sister, Katherine Mirabito.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Theresa) Galletta of Oswego, Vincent (Kathleen) Galletta of Amherst, Teresa (Michael) Ferlito of Minetto, James Galletta of Oswego and Peter (Amy) Galletta of Oswego; her sister, Mary Lanzafame of Liverpool; brothers, Joseph Mirabito of Fulton, Vincent (Maureen) Mirabito of Syracuse and John Mirabito of Syracuse; seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gregory Kreinheder.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.

Calling hours will be conducted 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
