Mary Vescio, 95

FULTON, NY – Mary Vescio, 95, of Fulton passed away peacefully Sunday evening September 10, 2017, at Oswego Hospital from natural causes.

She was born in Mount Morris, NY, to the late Peter and Stephanie (Mauro) Liberti.

Mrs. Vescio retired in 1984 from General Electric, Syracuse after 30 years of service.

She was an active volunteer at the local nursing home.

Mrs. Vescio enjoyed spending time with the residents.

She also loved to sing and help the residents with the pet therapy program.

Mrs. Vescio was an avid bowler and she loved to crochet.

She also loved to tend to her flowers and share starter plants with her family.

Mrs. Vescio was a great cook and enjoyed treating her family to her specialties.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Vescio; and son, Anthony P. Vescio.

Mrs. Vescio enjoyed keeping a close eye on her whole family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Patricia Kinahan of Baldwinsville, NY, James (Vicki) Vescio of Phoenix, NY, and Thomas (Jennifer) Vescio of Fulton; daughter-in-law, Anne Page; her brother, Charles Liberti of Fulton; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph E. Scardella.

Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted Thursday 4 to 6 p.m. at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
