FULTON, NY – Michael R. Rose, 66, of Volney, NY, passed away Tuesday February 21, 2017, after a long illness at Oswego Hospital, Oswego NY.

He was born in Fulton, to the late Howard and Sonia (Tugaw) Rose Sr.

He remained a lifetime resident of the Fulton and Volney areas.

Mr. Rose was a United States veteran having served in the Army from 1971-1973.

He was known to his family and friends as someone who enjoyed being a hard worker.

Mr. Rose was past employed with Nestles Co, Fulton.

He owned and operated Mike’s Auto Repair, Volney, for several years.

Mr. Rose was a past member of the Fulton Elks Lodge, Pathfinder Rod & Gun Club, and the local American Legions.

His favorite pastimes were eating, and he loved going out to eat.

He also enjoyed snowmobiling, tow trucking, boating, traveling to his camps and using his RV.

Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Ann Rose of Volney; five children: Michael (Rebecca) Rose II of Oswego, Melissa (David) Holmes of Fulton, Heather (Ryan) Smith of Fulton, David Rose of Central Square, NY and Kimberly Rose of Fulton; four siblings: Howard Rose Jr., of Baldwinsville, NY, Roxanne Ingleston of Texas, Leslie Seeley of Rochester, NY and Melody Ann Squitieri of Florida; six grandchildren: Rachel, Caleb, Kaylee, Addison, Alexa and Mikey III; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Monday, February 27, at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, with Rev. John Coleman officiating.

Burial will be held privately.

Calling hours will be conducted 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., Fulton. missing or outdated ad config
