    Dear Nancy,

I read in Oswego County Today online that your mother had passed away. So many years have passed since I saw your mother but I remember her so fondly. I want to send you my condolences on the loss of Jo. I have happy memories of her from our childhood. She always made me feel so welcome when I would visit your house on Fourth Street across from Walradt Street School. I will always remember the perogies she made; my favorites were the ones stuffed with potato. At my house, we never had such an exotic treat. I remember how neat and tidy she always kept her house. Growing up with four kids, my house on First Street was not so organized. Your place seemed like a little haven with your sweet mother watching over us. She had a hard life with the loss of your father and brother, but she managed to smile for your friends and make them feel special. I hope that her last years were comfortable and I extend my condolences to you at this time of loss. Your mother was a wonderful woman who touched the lives of many.

    Sincerely,

    Ann Ackerman Avery
