A Letter To Oswego County Voters

To The Editor:

My name is Kevin Cook and I am asking for your vote for my grandfather, Bob Hayes, for County Legislator.

I’m not asking for your consideration because Bob is a family member, but rather, because After a 30-year career with Sears & Roebuck, Bob retired and began working for the county as the first-ever Director of 911.

Since leaving that position, Bob has been a dedicated civil servant of Oswego County for nine years and will continue doing great work for you, if he’s re-elected.

Anyone that has had the chance to meet him, knows that advancing the standard of living in the county and bettering the lives of its citizens is my grandfather’s chief concern.

I could tell you about the various committee’s he has served on, or the various services that he has brought to the county, but I think I’d rather tell you about the type of person he is, given the current political climate of our country.

To put it succinctly, Bob is a listener. He wants to know about you, your family, your business, and your school. He never presumes to have all the answers, and he tries to learn as much as he can by asking great questions.

As a lifelong resident of the county, who can count most of his family members as residents, you can believe that Bob will work tirelessly for you, and everyone in the county.

Re-electing Bob Hayes for County Legislator is a vote for someone that has everyone’s best interest at heart. It’s a vote for someone who wants to do right by the county and do right by you.

Whether you consider yourself a Republican, Democrat, an Independent, or something in between, a vote for Bob Hayes on November 7 is a vote for a strong Oswego County.

Thank you.

– Kevin Cook, 2005 graduate of John C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix, NY

  1. I just wish he was representing Richland. We really have a mess on our hands here. 99.9 of our legislators are great.
