To the Editor,
I, Former Legislator Dan Farfaglia was 5th in line for Early Voting in Oswego County for the 2020 General Election.
With this Presidential Election Year expected to be a high turnout event, County residents now have three different ways that they can vote:
1) Traditional in person method on Election Day November 3rd.
2) Expanded absentee/vote by mail, made necessary by the global pandemic.
3) Early Voting, now in its second year.
If interested in voting early and avoiding the potential long lines on election day, the Oswego County Board of Elections is offering this option at their office located in the City of Oswego at 185 E. Seneca St. These are all of the dates and times that Early Voting will be taking place:
Sat. Oct 24 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
Sun. Oct 25 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Mon. Oct 26 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Tues. Oct 27 Noon-8 p.m.
Wed. Oct 28 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Thurs. Oct 29 Noon-8 p.m.
Fri. Oct 30 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Sat. Oct 31 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Sun. Nov 1 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
After voting early, board of elections employees will then stamp over that name in the paper poll books that go out on Election Day. That way, poll workers on November 3rd will be aware, and be able to prevent anyone from voting more than once.
